HANGING out at a Cuba St pub on a Saturday night is not unusual for an 18 year old, but Jack McDonald (right) is a little different.
Mr McDonald (18) is this election’s youngest candidate and has arrived to join in with the Green party’s festivities at San Francisco Bathhouse.
He is standing for the Te Tai Hauāuru electorate.
“I’m feeling good. I’ll be hanging out here (Green party’s headquarters on Cuba St), seeing how many MPs we get and celebrating.
“We’re hoping to get over 10%, and we’ll be waiting for the later votes as we tend to do better with city votes.”
Mr McDonald is a first year student at Victoria University where he studies political science and Te Reo Māori.
